It's here. Truth Serum #3 is out on the stands today. It's the big one. The last issue. The thrilling climax to which the first twi issues have been building. Prepare yourself. And best of all, Slave Labor hasn't messed with it this time.
When we originally solicited this issue, we went through several revisions. Earlier iterations were scrapped for obvious reasons.
FIRST TRY
What words can fill this space in order to make you buy as many copies of Truth Serum #3 as possible? FREE? SEX? BREASTS? FIGHT? None of these words describe this comic. But so what? The only word that aptly describes it is "lose," but that doesn't make you want to buy it. Does it? Just give me your f***ing money.
SECOND TRY
How does one describe the third and final issue of Truth Serum ?... lose (looz) v. 1. To incur the deprivation of, as by negligence or misadventure. 2. To be deprived of (a person, esp. a close relative) by death 3. To fail to win. 4. To fail to take advantage of or use. 5. To make (oneself) disappear or fade from view, as in a crowd. 6. To remove (oneself), as from everyday reality into a fantasy world.
FINAL
Have you ever lost anything? Your keys, or maybe some money? Or what about a person? A friend or loved one. Have you ever lost a whole bunch of people at once? Maybe you didn’t really lose them. Maybe you’re the one who was lost. Are you lost, or are you a loser?
